Introduction of Bangladesh Marine Contractors Association:
Domestic and foreign sea-going ships' arriving at The Ports of Bangladesh for the purpose of unloading the necessary import-export goods of Bangladesh have to provide the necessary services to the ship as a signatory to international law to meet the ship's demand (IMO). The following various categories of licenses are issued by the Port Authority for Marine Contractors / Vendors as per the port law on direct appointment of Ship Owners, Ship Managers, Ship Management, Ship Charters, Ship Captains / Masters.
Provides Marine Contractor / Vendor Services licensed by the Port Authority on the basis of the said category. The Marine Contractor are engaged in this business transacts huge amount of foreign currency through Bangladesh Bank by providing shipping services directly to the Overseas Shipping Company. It plays a huge role in the economy of the country and the concerned contractor pays income tax in the revenue sector of the government. An estimated 15,000 labor-related families are involved in this business. At present, we are organized to obtain T.O. license in order to ensure the business interests of the temporary service providers involved in this business. On this basis, we formed the "Bangladesh Marine Contractors Association".
(1) The members of Bangladesh Marine Contractors Association, Marine Contractors are licensed vendors under the Chittagong Port Authority Act 1976 Regulations for Working of Chittagong Port (Cargo and Container) 2001, Rule 71 of 2001, the Mongla Port Authority Act 1975 and The Payra Port Authority Act 2013 /Ensuring business opportunity facilities in all expatriates and expatriates arriving at the mentioned seaports of Bangladesh for unloading and loading of import and export goods of the country and adjoining areas of the port, jetty-berth, terminal, river mooring, buoy at outer anchor sea, port declared border area and Chittagong Ship Recycling Yard, Overseas Shipowners, Ship Manager, Ship Management, Ship Charter, Ship Captain / Master Direct Ship.

(2) Regulations for Working of Chittagong, Mongla, The Payra Port Authority / Licensed Vendor Organization Bangladesh Marine Contractors take measures to protect the commercial interests of the traders of Association in the sector as per the government order, to keep a watchful eye and to take action to improve the business of the overall marine contractors.
(3) Issuance of certificates and affidavits to the members of this association for confirmation of identity. Take action to ensure safety and protect members from financial or other harm
(4) To establish adjustment, harmony, mutual rivalry free and amicable relations among the members.
